OEM significa Original Equipment Manufacturer, que se traduce como Fabricante de Equipo Original. Las grandes marcas como Honda o Yamaha compran sus piezas a fabricantes OEM, ya que no fabrican todas las partes de las motos que ensamblan. Adquieren estas piezas de fabricantes OEM y luego les ponen su marca.

¿Es lo mismo OEM que Original?

Sí, los fabricantes de motos encargan la producción de sus partes y componentes únicamente a los proveedores con categoría OEM. Las partes OEM son fabricadas por orden de las grandes marcas bajo sus especificaciones y siguiendo estrictas normas de calidad impuestas por ellas (ISO 9001, entre otras). La única diferencia es que no llevan el logo del fabricante.
